Arizona sets new high mark for one-day gain in COVID-19 cases: 1,127

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 1,127 new COVID-19 positive tests between Monday and Tuesday. That is the highest single-day gain in new cases since coronavirus documentation began in Arizona in January.

The Tuesday morning ADHS shows 21,250 positive test results in Arizona, with 941 deaths, 24 of which occurred in the past day.

It took the state 64 days to document Arizona’s first 1,000 COVID-19 cases. Sixty-five days later, Arizona has added more than 20,000 new cases.
