Rappers charged with stealing activated gift cards : Cool Amerika

Three men, including two Atlanta rappers, have been arrested on theft charges after stealing more than $4,000 of activated prepaid gift cards from Home Depot and exchanging them for cash.

The incident occurred at 4136 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in January.

Jalen Darden, 21, Kelderick Giles, 23, and Evan Griffin, 22, were arrested Thursday. Each posted $11,200 bond the same day.

Giles and Griffin are part of the hip-hop duo Cool Amerika.

Gwinnett County police issued warrants for Darden, Giles and Griffin last week after receiving an anonymous tip about their identities.

A Home Depot clerk had previously admitted to colluding on the scheme to steal the gift cards
